A person in Madurai city has convicted of some offense and sent to King for final verdict on his offense.
King felt the offense committed by that person is not that offensive to kill him.
So King gave him a chance to tell a sentence in such a way that if that sentence is correct then he will be thrown into a valley to death, if the sentence is wrong then he will be killed by a tiger. Now how does that person escape?
The person said: 'I shall be killed by tiger!' If he was lying, he would be killed by tiger. But that's what the person was saying. So he speaks the truth. But if he speaks the truth, he would be thrown into a valley to death, so then he was not speaking the truth. So it is impossible for the king to determine whether the person speaks the truth or not. So therefore the king cannot determine the penalty and sets him free.
