Your daughter has brothers as many as sisters and twice the number of your sons is same as the number of daughters. How many kids you have?
Here Assume that number of daughters a and the number of sons b
each daughter will have a-1 sisters.
since every daughter has equal number of brothers and sisters then b = a - 1
and twice the number of your sons is same as the number of daughters. Then 2b = a then we solve like
2(a- 1) = a
a = 2
Using a=2 we get
b = 2 - 1 = 1
so here 2 daughters and 1 son i.e 3
