Which of the following query yields better performance for getting entire data from employees table?
select * from employees ;
select eid,fname,lname,salary,dept,age,doj from employees ;
employees.age,employees.doj from employees ;
db17.dbo.employees.age,db17.dbo.employees.doj from db17.dbo.employees ;
Always the query which is having fullnaming conventions yields better performance .
Though a query which is not having absolute naming conventions sent to the the database , The database engine rewrites the query using absolute naming conventions and hence takes little more time for converting relating table names and column names into absolute names .
