If a boy is walking 4/5 of his regular speed, he gets 15 minutes late for covering a certain distance. Find the usual time for covering that certain distance?
Solution: New speed = 4/5 of the usual speed. Let usual time be x.
.'. New time taken = 5/4 of usual time = 5x/4
So, (5x/4 ) - x = 15 min.
=> x = 60 min = 1 hr.
